Pursuit

I just received a book in the mail today that was recommended by a friend, entitled, “Furious Pursuit”. It’s a book on understanding that God actively pursues relationships with us. It starts off talking about how the author was tired of pursuing God, and wishes God would pursue us instead for a while.
It made me realize something. I’ve been getting more and more stressed lately. I noticed this today because I have been pulling my hair more again. Strangely, unlike the author, I’m at a good place right now in regards to my relationship with God. But I am tired of pursuing relationship with PEOPLE. Tired of pursuing and feeling like nobody really cares. It reminds me of what Drew Barymore’s character said in the movie, “He’s just not that into you.” She said, “I’m tired of being rejected by seven different technologies. It’s exhausting!”
Why can’t people pursue me for a change?
