Emily's Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

2 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter (cooled)
2 tbsp milk
3/4 cup raisins (soaked and patted dry)
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of fresh ground cinnamon
pinch of fresh ground nutmeg
pinch of ground cardamom

The recipe:
1. Soak raisins in hot water for an hour, then drain and wipe dry with paper towel.
2. Whip together melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
3. Mix together flour, sugar, rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom.
4. Pour dry mixture into wet mixture and mix well.
5. Finally, pour in soaked raisins and combine well.
6. Spoon into 16 rounded balls on parchment paper.
7. Bake at 375F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 16 delicious soft cookies. Enjoy!
