Another new song

May 31, 2009

Today’s new qin song is a lot longer and difficult that the last two, so it’s going to be a while before I post up a sound clip. Seems all these poems are unbelieveably melancholic. Makes me feel all blah! Check it out:

Recalling Playing a Xiao on the Phoenix Terrace

Cold incense in the gold lion, quilt crumpled in red waves.
I get up wearily, not ready to comb my hair.
Makeup case covered in dust, sun shining above the screen.
I fear the bitterness of separation.
So many things I want to say, but I let them pass.
I get thinner and thinner.
Not from drinking nor illness, nor from the sadness of autumn.
Let it be! Let it be! This time he has gone.
If I sang Yangguan ten million times, still I could not keep him.
Alone at home, surrounded by mist, I think of him far away.
Only the flowing water in front of the house knows I gaze all day.
Each gaze, each gaze, now added another new sorrow.
