White Christmas

December 21, 2008

After getting all my exams in, I flew home for the holidays in time for (1) coming down with a bad cold and getting mothered by the one and only and (2) enjoying multiple snowstorms from the comfort of a heated home. As a result, I’ve been doing quite a lot of sleeping. Which is always good.

First day back, I got a haircut at the local Aveda salon. Went from long hair to short. Needed a change. Also spent the day at my old workplace, catching up with the people I’d spent the last five years with. Was good. Stayed with them for pizza rounds. My old boss drove me home and we stopped for a little shopping along the way.

Next day, after a morning with my parents, I went to the old work holiday party, where I got a nice warm welcome to the old big boss, which was nice. Was good to relax with old friends too. We ended up heading out with some friends to a pub for some drinks after. My iPhone 8-ball program gave us some entertainment by uncannily predicting some things. Was funny.

Friday was the big storm, so I rested at home.

Today, did some shopping and spent more time with the parents. My brother’s family should be back in town tonight so I hope to get netter soon to see them.

Spent too long in my PS2 tonight, hence the late hour. Better sleep. Church tomorrow.
